The Manila Bay Sustainable Development Master Plan, driven by the Phillippine’s National Economic and
Development Authority (NEDA) and supported by the Dutch Government, will achieve strategic management and
development goals for inclusive growth, ecosystem protection, upgrades to informal settlements, improved water
quality, and disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation.

Aimed at restoring the water quality of Manila Bay, the Manila Bay Coastal Strategy will see a
large-scale clean-up of designated waterways, the implementation of solid waste management,
relocation of informal settlers, and sustained law enforcement and monitoring.
